I currently have an early intervention business which employs 33 contractors currently. I use Google exclusively to run my business from Gmail, Drive, Keep, and Meet. The problem I am running into is that I was not approved for the educational plan because of the population of kids that we service (birth to 3). It is my understanding that I need this upgrade in order to use the encryption feature which I currently do not have access too. I need to be able to send and receive S/MIME emails for my business and currently am unable to. Please let me know if this service can be added to a subscription or I could be approved for the Educational plan. I did apply again since it has been a few years since I was denied. Thank you ! Jess
@jtofany this is a group of fellow admins so you aren’t likely to get a formal answer from Google.
However, I concur completely with your assessment that Education editions are only available for K-12 schools and colleges AND that S/MIME is only available with Enterprise Edition. If you are turned down for the Education edition, it will require an upgrade to your Workspace licensing usually through a Google Reseller. You can find resellers at this link (https://cloud.google.com/find-a-partner/partner/dito-llc) though Dito is my $dayjob as a COID. I also typically recommend customers look at a 3-year commit to get the best discount on Enterprise licensing. -KAM
