DATASTREAM - Connection Profile Error (Hostname)

Hello! Could someone help me?

I have a Datastream stream that works normally with the connection profile pointing to a PostgreSQL database’s IP address.

Now the database has been updated and we need to access it via hostname, but we can’t connect.

Changing the existing connection profile to the hostname gives the error:

Test failed
We can’t connect to the source database using the specified hostname and port. Make sure the hostname and port are correct and that the database can accept inbound connections.

The same happens when we create a new connection profile, but when we use the IP address to which the hostname is pointing, it works.

We’ve already tested the firewall and database access: everything is working.

If anyone can help, please, I’d appreciate it.

In the documentation '“Create a private connectivity configuration” (Datastream)

“You need to provide the private IP addresses when setting up the private connectivity configuration because Datastream doesn’t support Domain Name System (DNS) resolution in private connections.”
