Dataset configuration error but everything is OK on the data source

Hi everyone,

I’m completely stuck due to an error :

I don’t understand why, because in data management, this source is “Functional” and shows no errors. The Sheets file is clean, there are no duplicate headers, I have access to the file, etc. I tried to create multiple kinds of charts, with all available columns too…

I’ve tried deleting and reconnecting several times, even using the URL, but the error always returns.

All other sources work for this report !

If anyone has an answer, I would be very grateful. Thank you.

If unique header, no parasite data on the right of the spreadsheet, all accesses, no empty 2nd row (just below the header), no “broken” data (text in date column), I’d need to have a look to investigate. Let me know!

To close on this topic as it might help someone else, we found the problem: dates incorrectly coded in the Google Sheet.

Hard one cause you need to manually scan your date field and check for errors and Looker Studio won’t raise any alert, but even if the field type looks good in GSheet and is understood by Looker Studio, it’s worth a scan to check for incoherencies!
