Data transfers with action button

I have a table for demographics. I want to create a button on the demographics form that will link me to my appointment form. Is it possible to transfer the demographics info to the appointment form?
Also, I want that button on the demographics_detal form not the primary view. I’m not sure how to do that.

What do you mean by “primary view”?
