Dear All,

We have Apigee edge 4.50 for private cloud installed.

We are trying to implement a developer portal.

For same, we are checking the possibility of Custom Portal

however the port and message processor links given are for public cloud in the above documentation.

  • Can we build a custom portal for private cloud?
  • If so, is the related API’s documented (for private cloud)?
  • Is there any limitations for custom portal?

Sure, you can build a custom dev portal.

The APIs are the same for private cloud as for public cloud. You will need to connect the devportal to the management server, not the message processor.

No. limitations.

Obviously the portal… needs to be able to connect to the management server endpoint. So if you host your devportal in the cloud, that means you need to expose the mgmt server endpoints to the cloud. But that’s not a hard problem to solve.
