As of early June 2026, the “get report link” functionality that would normally generate a link to quickly load a report with a saved configuration (e.g. filters across pages), appears to no longer load reports the same way as during the period before.
Specifically, I’m encountering an change with a data source selector/filter in my report failing to automatically load with the value it had selected when the report link was generated.
Other filters that control data parameters appear to load with the values that were selected when the report was generated. Also, the report will load the page that was active when the report links was generated as well.
However, not being able to load a report with a specific data set selected kind of defeats much of the benefit the platform provides. I’m not in a position to maintain separate copies of the report for the data sets I need to access. I’d much rather maintain one report, keep that report up to date, and save links to the report pre-configured so I can quickly review different data sets via the report.
Did the platform receive an update that prevents data source selectors from saving/loading when the get report link function is utilized to quickly load a report configuration? This appears to be a consistent change in behavior across browsers, devices, and accounts.
Otherwise, if this is not expected behavior (and is therefore a bug), I’m surprised I didn’t see any posts about it yet.
If it is only the data source selector that is not being restored, while normal filter controls and page state still load from the report link, I would treat that as either a regression or an unsupported edge of report-link state.
A couple things worth testing before filing it as a bug:
create a tiny copy of the report with just the data control and one chart
generate the link in an incognito window / different browser profile
check whether the selector is report-level vs page-level
check whether the data control is using a default data source that overrides the link state on load
If the minimal report still fails, that is good evidence to attach to the issue. I would include the date it started, whether filters still persist, and that the break is specific to the data source selector.
I’ll test. The report was configured with a report level selector and the default data source was not configured to override. In-fact when the report is generated with this issue, no data source is selected (not even the default).

Utilizing a link to the report generated when a non-default data source is selected results in the Data Selector showing the default data source selected, but all page elements (tables, charts, graphs, etc.) report a “Data Set Configuration Error”
