Compare weekly values to same week last year in Looker

Hi, I want to display weekly sums for the last 8 weeks in Looker and compare each week to the same week from the previous year.

When I try to add a week-level dimension to a period-over-period measure set to compare by year, I get an error saying the week field is incompatible with the yearly PoP measure.

My question:
Is it possible to use Looker’s built-in period-over-period measure to compare each week to the same week last year, or do I need to calculate this manually using a derived table or custom SQL?

Hey @zohar - atm this wouldn’t work as outlined in the docs: You can’t select the week timeframe in an Explore query with a PoP measures unless the PoP measure is defined with period: week or period: date. You should raise this to your account team as we are actively working on this and would love customer feedback.
