CockroachDB as database for AppSheet

Has anyone used CockroachDB as database for AppSheet? How is your experience with it? Is it a better choice compared to Supabase or other database? Have you encountered any connection limit issues?

No one has responded so I thought I’d check on this. Did you figure out if you are able to setup an instance or not?

I have no experience with them but I checked their site and these databases are described as cloud-hosted SQL database instances. I believe they should integrate fine with AppSheet. They do provide a free trial and you can connect to free apps in AppSheet. So, it should be ewasy to try to setup an instance.

NOTE: If you are not aware, You do typically need to provide a list of server IP’s to the database instances. You will find them in the AppSheet knowledge base on a page listed as “server IPs” . There is a list of about 30 different IP addresses OR if you are in one of the dedicate regions, there is a more specific list. You will most likely need to copy that appropriate list of server IP’s into the database instances to successfully connect. The location where to do this is not consistently named.

I hope this helps!
