The GCP CloudSQL instance underwent an automatic Google maintenance today at 8:30 UTC (Nov 14th 2022) after which the CPU jumped and stayed at 100% even after several restarts and an upgrade to eventual 32 cores. It runs MySQL 5.7.39.
Although memory allocation for the instance is significantly bigger, it has never exceeded 12GB now.
No related code was deployed that could have affected the Cloud SQL performance!
Has anyone experienced similar after maintenance?
