I recently noticed that I have received a $1000 “GenAI App Builder” credit in my Google Cloud billing account.,I would like to understand: . Is it automatically assigned under certain conditions or promotions?. Are there any eligibility criteria or usage limitations I should be aware of?

Hey, I actually saw this kind of credit pop up for a friend recently too, so I can relate a bit 
From what I understand, Google Cloud sometimes auto-assigns these GenAI App Builder credits during promos or when you activate certain AI/GenAI related services, so it can feel a bit random if you didn’t explicitly apply for it. I think many people get confused because it just shows up in billing without much explanation.
What worked for me (or at least what I noticed while helping someone set it up) is:

Check the “Promotions” or “Credits” section in billing dashboard first

Look at the linked project/service that triggered it

Also keep an eye on expiration date, these credits usually don’t last forever
Not 100% sure in every case, but usually there are usage limits tied to GenAI APIs.
I’ve seen similar onboarding credits while working around setups in carpet cleaning tracyprojects too.
