Our company is doing some re-alignment and a colleague had developed some apps in Appsheet for another department that I’ll be taking over maintenance of. If he transfers ownership of the sheets in Google Drive, would that have any knock-on or adverse affect on the apps? I wouldn’t anticipate any, but he felt I should check first. Thanks!
The original file owners should stay as Co-owner of the sheet even afer he / she transfer the ownership of the sheet. So the original owner should have the access to the sheet which is source of the app. So I dont expect any issues. However, once the new owner remove the original owner as the shared member of the sheet, then app will be broken up.
Please explain further. It is likely the other person will not retain any rights to the sheets, I will become the sole owner. The app will also be transferred to my ownership. Similar to if the other person were no longer working for the company and their accounts were deactivated. I appreciate your help.
I explained already as far as what I know.
Googles new improved support desk is hopefully helping you out, good luck.
Hey Patrick, please feel free to contact AppSheet support for this issue https://support.google.com/appsheet/gethelp
I did contact support, but there is a document on this topic here: https://support.google.com/appsheet/answer/10104991?hl=en
It delineates how to transfer the data sources along with the app itself.
