In the Looker BI Customer Council where Looker showcased content certification, the staff member said that only user-defined dashboards can be certified, as the assumption is that LookML dashboards are created by Developers.
I have fed back that we cannot use this feature until it is extended to LookML dashboards. We predominantly use LookML dashboards, but do have some UDD’s. If we only certify the UDD’s in our shared folders, then obviously our end users will assume that the LookML dashboards are not trustworthy (they don’t know what a LookML dashboard is, and they certainly wouldn’t be able to differentiate between the two when navigation to a dashboard URL).
Currently, we are only using this feature when a Developer saves an ad hoc report in a user’s personal folder. We are not using it in shared folders.
