ISSUE: I want to delete workspace but I can’t because of a cloud project, which I can’t delete. (projects are the main domain > system-gsuite > apps-script)
I’m really desperate to find some help, so I hope I’m in the right place. Please point me in the right direction for any help. I saw a couple of recommended topics but no resolution. I just want to delete the Workspace for the domain and everything associated with it. That is the ultimate goal, but the focus here is why can’t I delete the cloud projects (or why don’t I have permission).
My preferred resolution is someone at Google Support that can just fix this, but they’re not giving out any contact information.
What I’ve Tried #1: The Cloud admin system instructed me to use the cloud console with the instructions below. That all makes sense, and I tried, but I got an error that I’m not authorized.
- gcloud resource-manager folders list --folder
- gcloud projects delete
- gcloud resource-manager folders delete
Console said I don’t have permission and referenced “core account” but this is very simple. I’m one user, full admin, access to everything from domain to hosting to workspace and cloud. I’m not even sure how/why/when this project was created. I can’t even list assets.
I went to IAM and added every role I could think of to my user name – Access Approval Config Editor, Access Transparency Admin, Billing Account Creator, Cloud Access Binding Admin
Delete Service Accounts, Editor, Folder Admin, Network Administrator, Organization Administrator, Organization Role Administrator, Organization Role Viewer, Project Creator, Project Deleter, Resource Settings Administrator, Service Account Admin
Storage Object Admin, Storage Object Viewer
What I’ve Tried #2: On one of the instruction pages, it says cancel subscriptions. I see an Android Enterprise (Active/Free) subscription which I try to delete and it says to delete Third-party integrations (or delete the Google Account which is circular). The Third-party Integrations list Android EMM which is not enabled. I click edit on that and says no EMMs Added and has a checkbox to enable or to Add providers. But there’s no delete button, so that’s a dead end.
