The old process worked much better, now i go to add custom domain and it gives me 2 options to do so, any of them that i select it then results in domain auto verified however app engine doesnt seem to realise this.
How can we verify domains now ? super important and time sensitive

Perhaps the same problem is preventing you from verifying your domain.
Im already verified on Google search console but Google App Engine doesnt seem to know about it - thats the issue. Domains verified but cant attach to GAE
its not the same issue for me
