Cannot add a new Group as the Contains field cannot be accessed?

Hello,

I am new to looker and am using gemini to work through creating a report dashboard for a client so that they can view and update the data themselves.

In the process of doing this i am now stuck on adding a new Group to a value that is titled ‘Simplified Page Category’ in the Data column of the looker interface.

Below is a screencapture i took of the setup.

The interface will not allow any editing of the ‘Condition’ dropdown field, and the Group value field thereafter is missing.

I cannot locate a solution to this through search, and the AI cannot solve. Can i ask the community what specifically I am doing wrong here - I do not have the experience with this product to successfully debug the problem at hand.

Hi @SPL You can’t edit the Condition because the field is likely calculated or from a blend - grouping with “Contains” only works on standard text dimensions, so recreate it as a CASE field or group it in the original data source.
