Automatic change to button for dynamic drop down

Hello,

I am facing an issue with dynamic drop downs. I created a questionnaire with several selections to filter a product database to help users to find the right product for their need.

The filter is applied by a form view because the search/filter possibilities of Appsheet are not sufficient for our need.

Using the dynamic drop downs, normally the drop down becomes a button selection as soon as you have only 1, 2 or 3 alternatives. But in some cases it stays a drop down, even if it would be more user friendly if it would turn into a button too, see my picture:

The settings of all fields are the same, so I am wondering why some fields change into buttons and some not. Has anyone an idea what could be the reason?

Yes. But if I change to buttons, it is always shown as buttons. The drop down is dynamic, means depending on other drop downs the items in the list is reduced. Normally AppSheet automatically changes the mode from drop down to buttons if there are 3 or less options.

For other fields it works but for some it isn’t.

Maybe it doesn’t do that if you have longer texts. I haven’t tested but that could be one reason.

Looks like you’re right. This only happens for longer texts.

For my case it would be better if it would turn into a button no matter how long the text is, but is seems to be like this. :neutral_face:
