I would like to connect AppSheet to an on-premise SQL database, but looking at documentation to do so, I came across this statement:
AVAILABILITY NOTICE: Use of DreamFactory to connect securely to an on-premises database is not available to new customer configurations. It will continue to work for existing customer configurations.
Can someone offer any additional explanation or guidance? Is there a suitable alternative?
You will be able to connect to an On-Premise SQL if that SQL is available globally via internet
Is there a recommended data gateway or method for that?

So your option would be to open access to it on your firewall
But when i select on premises database as a new source, it automatically opens the dreamfactory form.
How can I disregard this request and proceed with the database connection?
Just select the database you use. MySQL, Postgres…
seems like it is required now to use dreamfactory api.
