AppSheet Assistant

Hello Community Members,

In case you haven’t seen this before, AppSheet offers an Assistant feature that allows users to type and speak commands, similar to Google Assistant. You can enable it by going to your app in Editor > click “Intelligence” (:light_bulb:) > Smart Assistant and toggle “Enable Smart Assistant” ON.

  1. For more detailed information about this feature, check out Smart Assistant View.

  2. Note: Requires AppSheet Core or higher; supports English and Spanish commands and does not apply in desktop mode. Also, the steps to enable the Smart Assistant view are out of date in the video which is part of the above tutorial.

Happy Coding!

Yes, I have found it too basic and slow to be of much use in most of the apps I build. I have not reviewed it in a couple of years, however, so maybe it’s better now?

Agreed, feature full of potential but has been left unattended too long.

The delay in using has also been noticed, it also lacks the ability to control the look of Views when Results are displayed.

@Shourya_Tomar Since you revived this feature, please do get feedback to team, I am sure alot of old users have input here on the existing features shortfalls.

Maybe the team can get Gemini to interact with Assistant and have it respond to apps connected data via the new MCP features that are being released in preview soon.

I think you are BOT or an entity to attack this community place. Smart Assistant feature is well known as USELESS for years and years, as it never worked out as designed. We believed this feature should be shut down, but still there.

Noboby should suggest to other usres to encourage to user this useless features to othres, so I believe you are a BOT or some personnel to cause the problem to the community place.
