Hi all, over the holidays, a few of us at AppSheet have been hard at work to ensure that the apps you build on AppSheet are suitably architected for the business environment of 2020 — especially with respect to privacy and compliance. In Europe, there are GDPR requirements while in the US, California is introducing its CCCA laws this year. Before an end-user uses and shares his/her personal information via the app, it is considered good practice to inform the end-user about the information that…

But we can use some fields under INFO → PROPERTIES to enter our own info in our own language.

These are the fields that will show up:

Under APP PROPERTIES

  • Short Name
  • Short Description
  • Description

Under INFORMATION FOR APP USERS

  • User Guidance

This will look like:

In “User Guidance” we could enter something in our own language like “Please press ACCEPT to use the App”.

So,
Google Forms is not so good as AppSheet, especially since Google bought AppSheet as they like to keep telling us. So lets all use appsheet to create our forms.
We have to show a consent form to users before they can use the app, but this is to protect users coming from Europe (or Americans). Either way, they are not my target audience. My public app (one initial enquiry form x1) is targeted to non-English speakers/readers outside of these two regions, they have to accept the terms of the form in a language they cant read and which I cant customise. My potential customers.
EDIT: Oh, and I cant customise the creator email address they see either.

Also facing these issues.

Would be nice to have a solution for this.

We now can translate the message, the users see when they open an App first time.

It took a while to get this done, but finally you can also disable or enable the user consent dialog entirely (look for the option in the Security → Options pane), but it is on by default. And you can localize its contents via the UX → Localization pane.
