Apigee OPDK to hybrid migration complete guide

Could Some one provide all the steps to migrate from apigee opdk to hybrid. We have 20k proxies in each of our OPDK environments. Which should include all environment configurations, proxies, shared flows, products, apps, key store, trust store, virtual hosts, private kvms, users etc. We have 20k proxies in each of our OPDK environments.

Hi could you share some more details about your setup? How many orgs, and planets do you have? And what does the distribution of environments per org look like today? There’s a bunch of other stuff worth looking into as well: # of KVMs, shared flows, live tokens, and so on. The migration requirements can vary a bit depending on how you decide to go about it.

We have 4 orgs. Dev, Qa, UAT, Prod and two environments in each organization, internal and external. Two data centers both are active. We have thousands of kvms, target servers, hundreds of caches, shared flows, nested shared flows, keys in TLS keystore. Mix of SOAP and rest services and encrypted kvms. Please provide all the migration steps in detail.

“Please provide all the migration steps in detail.” - that’s a big ask!

Here are the high level steps:

  1. Review the Differences between Apigee Edge and Apigee X and Apigee technical feature overview
  2. Compare the Apigee Edge limits to Apigee X limits
  3. Assess proxies usage of unsupported policies and features, and develop migration solutions.

We don’t provide any officially supported migration tools, but you can find self-service tools at: apigee-migrate-edge-to-x-tools.

I think the biggest challenge will be the limits on API proxies and KVMs that you noted, as some of those limits are enforced in Apigee X/hybrid.
