Is there a way i can do a complete poc using apigee hybrid with trial version ? Essentially i want to create a proxy which involves shared flows and as well kvm entries.
I spinned the trial verison but it doesn’t allow me to create kvm and shared flows. is there any other apigee platfrom available for developers to play around . Earlier edge was some thing similar to apigee but it seems to be not available any more. Pls advice. thanks
Any of these options allow you to create KVMs, sharedflows, etc.
The free-trial is 60-day expiry. There’s no support. This will support a POC. After 60 days it vaporizes. The second option, pay-as-you-go (PAYG), is for-fee, you must pay, through your Google Cloud billing account. You can do it with a credit card. It charges you more, if you use more API calls, more environments, etc. Use the online calculator to estimate your charges, if you like. The PAYG option is supported, there’s an SLA. The final option is a pre-paid subscription. You must sign a contract with Google, and they;ll invoice you. This is not normally something you would use to support a POC. Normally if a company pursues a POC for Apigee, they would sign a contract AFTER the completion of that POC. With the pre-paid subscription, you get substantial discounts that make sense at higher volumes, larger numbers of environments.
These options apply for Apigee X. You cannot “trial” Apigee hybrid without talking to an Apigee sales person. If you just want to try out KVMs and sharedflows, you don’t need hybrid. In many cases, I talk to people who think they need hybrid, but they actually don’t. You can manage on-prem APIs with an Apigee X. You can manage APIs hosted in AWS, using Apigee X. hybrid is a special case, and it’s rare that it’s actually necessary.
If you are having trouble creating a KVM or a sharedflow in a free trial version of Apigee X, I suggest that you create a new post here, providing a specific description of the problem you are having. Someone might be able to help you.
