We, in SAP, are working on a SaaS product (using k8s clusters) that spans worldwide across different IaaS providers, some behind a network firewall like NS2 and Alibaba (China) and some in regulated markets like Russia. Does Anthos/GCP has a solution for such use cases?

Anthos is a platform of distinct services that work in concert to deliver value across the entire enterprise. There are multiple components currently available for use on Google Cloud, on AWS, on attached Kubernetes clusters, or on-premises[1]. Anthos will also let you manage workloads running on third-party clouds like AWS and Azure, giving you the freedom to deploy, run and manage your applications on the cloud of your choice, without requiring administrators and developers to learn different environments and APIs[2].
The traffic to and from the internet will be denied or allowed according to the country’s security reasons even if you have created a firewall rule. Traffic will need to go through the country ISP which will deny or allow the external traffic as per the country laws.
