How can I reduce my alerting noise in GCP? Is there any unique feature to reduce my alert noise?

To reduce alert noise in GCP:

  1. Increase the alert evaluation period
  • Edit the Alert Policy:
    Go to Google Cloud Console → Monitoring → Alerting → Select the noisy alert policy.
  • In the alert configuration, find the “Rolling Window”. Increase it. Instead of “5 minutes” try “15 minutes. This means the alert will only fire if the condition remains true for that entire period.
  1. You may check this Create metric threshold alerts, it focuses on the mechanics of setting up an alert policy based on a metric crossing a defined threshold within Google Cloud Monitoring’s user interface.

@reinc I am just looking for alert grouping and Inhibition features in GCP? How can I raise that Idea in the community?
