Admins with AppSheet Enterprise Plus can now ask Gemini to generate a summary of an app owned by their organization. This will enable admins to quickly understand the purpose and capabilities of any AppSheet app.

Many AppSheet customers have hundreds if not thousands of apps. It can be difficult for admins to understand the utility or purpose of those apps. With this launch, admins can quickly grasp what each app does without manual investigation, saving valuable time and improving governance oversight.
How does it work?
Before this launch, admins would often have to guess the app’s purpose based on the name or view the app in the editor to get a full sense of its capabilities.
AppSheet admins can now use Gemini to generate a summary of an app on demand. The summary integrates many aspects of the AppSheet app definition to provide a synthesized description of the app’s true purpose. We take it one step further by highlighting the key functions of the app based on the data schema, actions, automations, and views available to the app user.
How do I get started?
- App summaries generated by Gemini are available to all enterprise admins for apps owned by their enterprise users
- Select an app from the Apps view in the AppSheet Admin Console. In the detail view, you can select the dropdown to generate the app summary
- The app summary will persist until a new version of the app is generated by the app owner.
