I have this idea. I have built a cost model, scheduling module, MRP dashboards, to go along with customers, suppliers, items masters, and machine and labor tables. In other words, I have built a fully functioning ERP system in basic spreadsheets. Right now it is ugly and dirty but really amazing. For basic businesses, I think this could be easily modified and configured to work for any type of company. If it were part of the google workspace package, companies could save literally millions of dollars by not mistakenly investing in a giant ERP system that is not made for them.
I also have simple reporting tools like inventory calculators, On-Time Delivery, Past Due Sales, Supplier Scorecards, and the like that can easily be modified and changed by simple inputs from the customer.
I would love to talk to someone about my work or similar stuff being added to the workspace suite. It would really help support small businesses and boost Google’s ability to service their business customers.
