Hi,
Our YouTube API Services compliance review has gone silent for over four weeks. We remediated both findings from the ToS Violations Report within the deadline, and since then we have had no response of any kind despite four follow-ups on the same email thread.
Project number: (PII Removed by Staff)
Scopes requested: youtube.upload, youtube.readonly, yt-analytics.readonly
Timeline:
- 2 Jul 2026: Submitted the YouTube API Services form, acknowledgement received
- 3 Jul: Review team asked for a screen recording of the full user flow
- 5 Jul: Provided the recording, showing OAuth connect with all three scopes, video generation, publishing to the connected channel, and channel analytics syncing into our in-app dashboard
- 7 Jul: Received ToS Violations Report V.1 with two findings (Policy III.D.1c on project numbers, Policy III.F.2a,b on YouTube branding)
- 8 Jul: Responded in full to both findings, within the seven business day window. Confirmed the single project number, and replaced every YouTube icon with the official unmodified icon from the YouTube Brand Resources at the required minimum size. The changes are live on our website and screenshots were attached
- 14, 19, 23 and 28 Jul: Four follow-ups on the same thread, all unanswered
Since the remediation response on 8 July we have received no confirmation that it was received, no indication of whether the findings are considered resolved, and no reply at all.
This is a hard launch blocker. Our app relies on these scopes, so without this compliance sign-off we cannot go live. We have built on Google’s stack throughout, including Gemini models in our pipeline, and we are genuinely trying to embrace Google’s technologies. Four weeks of silence at the final step is the one part of that experience that has let us down.
Could a community manager or developer advocate help escalate this with the YouTube API compliance team, or at least confirm the review is still active and that our remediation response reached the right queue?
Thank you.
