Workaround for Transferring Third-Party Domains into Google Cloud Domains (Post-Squarespace Sale)

Hello,

I am moving my entire infrastructure (Static Hosting via GCS, Cloud Build CI/CD) to Google Cloud and I have significant credits I would like to use to consolidate my billing.

I understand that since the Squarespace acquisition, the “Transfer In” feature for third-party registrars (like Namecheap) has been disabled in the Cloud Domains console.

My Questions:

  1. Is there any existing workaround to transfer domain registration directly into a GCP project for unified billing?

  2. For developers who want a 100% unified experience within the GCP Console, what is the recommended long-term path for domain management?

Currently, I am forced to manage DNS in Cloud DNS while keeping the registration at a separate registrar, which fragments the workflow.

Thank you!

Hi there! Thanks for sharing your question with the community.

It seems like your query might be better placed in the Infrastructure forum.

Our specific space focuses on Application Integration, a platform used to connect different applications (like Salesforce, MySQL, or SAP) and automate workflows using point-and-click configurations.

If you’re looking into guidance for using Application Integration to automate processes, feel free to elaborate more on how your issue involves that solution, and we’ll be happy to walk you through it
