When will supervised fine-tuning be available for Gemini 3.x models on Vertex AI?

Hi,

I’m currently using supervised fine-tuned Gemini 2.5 Pro endpoints on Vertex AI for my production service. With gemini-2.5-pro scheduled to shut down on June 17, 2026,
I need to plan my migration to Gemini 3.x.

However, supervised fine-tuning is not yet available for any Gemini 3.x model (3.1 Pro is still in Preview).

Is there a rough timeline for when supervised fine-tuning will be supported on Gemini 3.1 Pro or any upcoming 3.x model?

Hey I have exact same concern, did you find any answer? this is sad, like i put time and money into fine-tuning 2.5-pro and they are killing it soon and moreover there is no option to finetune any gemini 3 model at all…

They pushed the timeline back to October. It’s mentioned in the email.

But didn’t mentioned about 3.x model fine tuning though.
