What the hell hapened to the AppSheet home page

Today I found that the home page of the AppSheet platform is different

Now it redirects to https://about.appsheet.com/home/

This may seem like a good thing. Problem is that it’s representation of the platform is not accurate

The UX is not what’s shown on the images.

The database is not updated real-time neither.

Should we expect that AppSheet will receive a redesign/upgrade including animations soon? If not the case, it’s actually misleading advertisement IMHO

After the Icon, maybe AppSheet will upgrade its feature and more futuristic appearance. Hopefully

I don’t know, this feels really far from reality from my POV

It evens shows the “Job tracker” sheet doing two things:

  1. Adding rows at the beggining of the range/table instead of the bottom and automatically deleting blank rows.
  2. Adding an “ID Number” that’s sequential, something even the docs advice you not to do.

I’m not mad, I’m just dissapointed about the fact that it’s misleading.

If I’m new to a platform, I want to see how it works from their webpage and if I were new to AppSheet, this new page would make me feel more engage than the real product

I missed this old post.

This is clearly designed by the marketing department, by someone who probably never opened the AppSheet editor in their life.

@SkrOYC this is a perfect example of the Googlefication of AppSheet, which I know from your other posts you’re not a fan of. I agree that if I were a new user to AppSheet and my expectations were set from that webpage, I would be severely disappointed with the actual product.

The reality is that Appsheet isn’t perfect, but for what it’s doing it’s ok. This webpage sets unrealistic expectations. @lizlynch maybe the development team could have some influence on the marketing to ensure that what they are promoting is a accurate depiction of the product?

Thanks @lizlynch .

And thank you for once again for being responsive, and making us feel that our suggestions and feedback aren’t just going into the big black hole of Google “customer support”!
