I am a system administrator, and I recently passed the Associate Google Workspace Administrator exam. Clearing this certification has significantly strengthened my understanding of the Google Workspace environment, especially around user and group management, security controls, device management, and real-world troubleshooting scenarios. It’s a solid exam that truly tests practical knowledge rather than just theory definitily not an easy one.
For my preparation, i followed the official Google Workspace Administrator Learning Path, which helped me build a strong foundation. Alongside that, i utilized practice test from P2PExams, which played an important role in assessing my readiness and improving my confidence before the actual exam.
Now that i have achieved this milestone, I am thinking about the next step. What would you recommend next?
Should I move toward a more advanced Google Workspace or Google Cloud certification?
Or would branching into another cloud or security-focused certification make more sense at this stage?

Congratulations! If you’re feeling the momentum from your recent pass, I suggest moving on to the Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) next. It bridges the gap between the Admin Console you know and the broader Google Cloud ecosystem. It’s probably the most versatile credential to pair with your current certification.
Other options -
- The Vertical Move: Professional Google Workspace Administrator - If you want to remain the go-to expert for Workspace, this is the definitive next step.
- The Specialised Move: Professional Cloud Security Engineer - If you enjoyed the security and compliance modules of your Associate exam, specialising here might be interesting.

thanks. I appreciate you sharing your perspective,
Hiya, Brett.
I’m pretty sure that certificate doesn’t exist anymore. It was replaced by the “Associate” admin exam, much to us “older” admins’ chagrin, since we definitely always felt it qualified to be called a Professional certificate.
Right you are @kim_nilsson. Thanks.
