Pokeman Go game has taken over few countries by storm in last 5 days. Daily Active Users has put Pokémon GO neck and neck with Twitter, and in a few more days, Pokémon GO will likely have more Daily Active Users than the twitter. At the same time, it added nearly 11 billion $ valuation to the Nintendo Company.
Pokeman Go uses Google Maps APIs. APIs powers Pokeman Go game. It’s a great example how quickly you can innovate & re-use existing services via APIs to quickly build Apps, Scale to billions of API calls, Millions of APP Users.
