Virtual column data copied to real column

I have a virtual column “ACTUAL COST” that runs SUM([Related Transactions][Costs]) and it gives me the total for all the expenses related to a conference. Works great.

I’ve been attempting to copy the virtual column data into a real column by a couple of options.

  • copying and pasting the formula from the virtual to the real column.
  • simply adding [ACTUAL COST] to the formula in the real column.

However, I’ve had no luck. Any suggestions? Ideas?

It works, but you need to open all your records one by one.. or trigger them somehow, for example with an action or Bot.

When you say open one by one? You mean right click on a row and click “open record”?

Whatever way you open the record’s form view and you press save.
