Use group aggregate data in an email response?

I have an app where we log when someone does something and the # of hours they did it for. I want to show how many times they did the thing and the sum of the hours total for the calendar year, which I accomplished by creating slices then adding them as a UX view and grouping them by the individual and the thing and then aggregating as a count and total, respectively.
Because the individual is selected from another data source, and that data source changes constantly (employees coming and going), I cannot add if statements or answer options, it would be impossible to keep up with.

The slice with aggregate is awesome and totally works. But I also send an email every time a new entry is made to say the new entry happened and in the email I’d also like to total YTD totals.
For example: “Jane has a new project for 7 hours. YTD she has 6 projects for a total of 50 hours”
But I cannot figure out how to include the group aggregate data in an email response.

Is it possible?

No, you wouldn’t have access to the group aggregate from the view to insert into an email. BUT…

…there are a couple of other things you could do:

  1. Calculate your own YTD total and include that in the email.
  2. You can insert links into the email that when clicked will navigate to the view that shows the aggregate.
