URGENT: Super admin locked out of cancelled Workspace tenant with data still in storage

Hello,

I am the super admin for a defunct company workspace domain (wesense.ai). Our subscription was cancelled, and the admin console now blocks us from reactivating the plan or accessing data export tools because it states the account is being wiped out.

However, the Admin Console Storage dashboard still displays 128GB of data (primarily Google Drive files) actively residing on Google’s servers. These files contain vital legal compliance and shareholder documents that we urgently need to recover.

Because the standard UI blocks subscription reactivation and gives a “Not available to purchase” error due to the deletion queue, is there is a way to manually request to pause the automated deletion/purge process so we can export this data?

I can provide our super admin email and verification details privately.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

This is what I would try right now -

  1. Attempt a Reseller or Direct Plan Add:

If you originally purchased Workspace directly from Google, log in to admin.google.com and navigate to Billing > Add or upgrade a subscription. If the standard reactivation flow is blocked, check whether adding a lower-tier standalone license (or contacting an authorised Google Workspace Reseller to transfer billing) allows them to re-provision a license for the tenant before the full purge.

  2. Contact Google Workspace Support:

The last resort is to reach out to Workspace support on X @askworkspace
