I am facing a critical issue with my app which is currently in Prototype mode.
I received an error message stating: “Unable to fetch app definition. Your app is blocked because a plan update is needed.” and a warning about exceeding the 10-user limit.
Current Status:
I have immediately cleaned up my user list.
Total Users: 9 (Including myself as the Owner).
Pending Invites: Checked and cleared (None).
Plan: Free (Prototype).
Issue: Despite reducing the user count to 9, the app remains blocked and I cannot access it.
My Question: Has anyone experienced this “stuck” state? Is there a way to force a system refresh or a specific contact channel to request an unblock? This app is critical for my daily workflow.
Any advice or help from the AppSheet team would be greatly appreciated!
I know you are familiar with this: While your app is in the free prototyping phase, you are permitted up to 10 active users.
AppSheet defines an “active user” as anyone who opens the app during a 30-day trailing period.
Now, because this is based on a trailing 30-day period, the active user count effectively refreshes every 30 days based on recent activity.
You can monitor your current user activity directly within the AppSheet Editor. Simply navigate to Manage > Monitor > Usage Statistics. This will provide a breakdown of how many unique users have accessed your app within the current cycle.
I hope this helps! Please do not hesitate to reply to this post, either me or someone on this beautiful community will be happy help!
