Urgent Feedback: Excessive Safety Filtering and Quality Regression in Gemini for Creative Writing

To the Gemini Product and Safety Team,

I am a long-term user and creator within the global roleplay and creative writing community (specifically the Furry community). I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the recent updates to Gemini Pro 0605/ Pro Preview.

1. Excessive “False Positives” in Safety Filters: Recently, the model’s safety threshold has become over-sensitive. Legitimate literary descriptions and character-driven narratives are being frequently flagged as “unsafe.” This has severely disrupted the creative workflow and destroyed the continuity of complex storytelling.

2. Model “Boring-ness” and Loss of Nuance: To comply with rigid safety guidelines, the model has lost its ability to handle emotional tension, subtext, and sophisticated character dynamics. The responses have become robotic, repetitive, and sterilized, losing the very “logical depth” that once made Gemini the preferred choice over competitors.

3. Competitive Disadvantage: Many creators are now migrating to alternative models (such as DeepSeek or open-source solutions) because they offer a better balance between safety and creative freedom. If Gemini continues this “over-alignment” path, it will lose its dominance in the creative and entertainment-tech sectors.

Our Request: We urge the team to fine-tune the safety filters to better distinguish between “harmful content” and “adult creative writing.” Please restore the creative agency that made Gemini 3.0 an industry leader.
