I’m looking for urgent guidance regarding a deleted AppSheet app that is currently impacting a production environment.
Context:
App Name: Gestión Técnica
App ID: (PII Removed by Staff)
The app was already published in Google Play and is actively used by users
I accidentally deleted the app from AppSheet. Initially, I was still able to access the Version History through a direct URL, but now it returns a 404 error.
Current situation:
The app no longer appears in AppSheet
I still have access to the original Google Sheets data source
The app is in production, so maintaining the same package name is critical (to avoid forcing users to reinstall)
Main question:
Has anyone successfully recovered a deleted AppSheet app (with appId) through support or any workaround?
I’m especially interested in:
Whether AppSheet/Google can restore app definitions from backend backups
If there’s any way to regenerate the same app (same GUID/package)
Any experience dealing with this scenario in production apps
Any guidance, experience, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I already tried contacting support via email, but I received an automatic response indicating that requests are no longer handled via email and should be submitted through the support form.
Given that this is a production app already published in Google Play, recovering it (or at least preserving the same app ID / package name) is critical.
Do you know if there is an alternative way to reach AppSheet support, or any specific channel for this type of issue?
Also, have you seen cases where Google support was able to restore a deleted app using the appId?
Hello @Darwin_Zamarca_G, I have raised the issue with the engineering team and they are investigating it further. I will keep you posted with the updates.
Support is only available for paid accounts. That you can’t see the link means the account you’re logged in with is not associated with a paid AppSheet account.
