URGENT: App blocked due to self-emailing bot - False positive on Spam/Security policy

Hello,

I am writing this post because I am at my wits’ end and I desperately need help from a Google specialist or a Product Manager.

My account (App ID: ???) has been blocked for several days due to what is clearly a false positive in your automated security systems. My case is nr #70334842

The issue: I have a simple automation (Bot) that sends an email notification exclusively to myself (the app owner) when certain data is updated. This is a core function for my internal workflow. However, the AppSheet specialist team has flagged this as a policy violation and blocked the app.

Current status:

  • I have been in contact with support for days.

  • I have explained that the recipient is the owner (self-notification).

  • The responses I receive are generic and do not address the actual logic of the app.

  • My business operations are currently completely halted because of this block.

I am a legitimate developer and this app is critical for my daily work. I am asking for an urgent manual review of my case as the standard support channel is stuck in a loop.

Can someone from the AppSheet team please look into this and escalate the case?

Thank you for your immediate attention.

Best regards,
Alberto

Hello @Team_Pheew (Alberto),

I will send you a PM shortly

Dear Jose,
this is a serious matter, it’s about work not play.
I repeat, I try to send to one recipiente (more myself) an email via bot.
**Do you consider it an action that deserves two weeks of total activity blockage?
**
I hope that you can help me unlock this absurd situation.

With respect,
Alberto

Hello @Team_Pheew,

I totally understand. Sorry for not replying sooner, my shift started one hour ago.

As of now, your account has been enabled. I have to request the engineering team to do the needful to avoid your account getting locked again so while this gets resolved permanently, I request you to please disable the email bot.

I’ll keep you posted.

Dear Jose,
thanks for your support, I look forward to hearing from you, and if you can explain to me what I did wrong, it would be very helpful.

Grazie

In a nutshell, Appsheet has these parameters to prevent that spam email from being sent through the application.

Closing the loop on this, a workaround has been implemented. I’ll be staying in the loop, so please let me know if you need anything else!

Thank you, @Jose_Arteaga!
