I recently upgraded a Gmail account to a Workspace account using my business domain. The process required a new primary email address (based on the business domain) and seemed to indicate that all functionality under the original Gmail account would continue as usual.
And indeed, if I access G-Drive or BigQuery, I have access to all the data and information that was previously existing.
However, when I login to AppSheet it insists on using the new primary email address -even when I log in with the old Gmail address…it just automatically switches to the new domain based email address.
The issue is I have lost access to ALL of the “Shared with me” apps. I can access all of the “Owned by me” apps just fine - at least so far.
Does anyone know of a way that will allow me to log into AppSheet under the original Gmail address and access the “Shared with me” apps??
You may want to try below.
Please access the additional menu bar on the left that pops up by clicking on the old email’s Google profile ( as highlighted in yellow in the image below)
Please create a different chrome profile for the **newly added workspace ** GMAIL email address using the add new profile option highlighted in green below.
Once you create , the Workspace related chrome profile should start appearing ( as highlighted in red in the image above. That is my Workspace related email profile.)
Now you should be able to access respective apps in the respective chrome profiles. At least I use that approach to access apps under two different GMAIL ( one workspace and one non workspace ) addresses that I use.

No luck. Google is recognizing the original Gmail address as an alternative email address within the Workspace account. When I attempt to create a new Chrome profile using strictly the original Gmail address, it recognizes it as part of the workspace profile and messages “Profile already exists”.
Access to everything seems to work as expected EXCEPT “Shared with me” apps. And I cannot seem to find any way around this problem to regain the access.
I can have the App Owners add the new email address as needed. So, it’s not a show-stopper.
I guess this is a cautionary tale for anyone else heavily reliant on co-authorship of apps and wants to upgrade to Workspace. Create a separate Workspace account and operate out of the GMail account separately until you can migrate things over …OR… expect to have the App Owners add your new email address to retain proper access.
Sorry, to know that but in my case as I mentioned I have been able to manage. And if my memory serves me right, I too had created workspace account after the normal GMAIL account. I did not experience the problem you mentioned.
Another primary step ( which you must have followed) is logging out of one Appsheet account if you are using a single chrome profile, before logging into other one.

Were you able to access all pre-existing data and files under the NEW account after setting up Workspace?
I am sorry that I do not understand your following statement though
As I mentioned, if an app was shared with email A ( non workspace account) it remained with account A even after creating another workspace account B. Its files remained in the G drive attached to email account A. After creating workspace based account B with email B, the apps created under that account remained with that account and associated G drive.

Hi @WillowMobileSys ,
I think I missed this particular detail yesterday.
Could you try removing the old GMail address from the workspace account using the following help article?
I believe that should help separate out the two accounts from each other?
Add or delete an alternate email address (email alias) - Google Workspace Admin Help Add or delete an alternate email address (email alias) - Google Workspace Admin Help
Please try having another (3rd) email ID as an alternate email ID and yet another one as recovery email ID.
