Update on the recent service disruption affecting Asia-Pacific and Western US regions

Hello AppSheet Community Members,

We sincerely apologize for the recent service disruption that impacted some AppSheet users across Asia, Australia and parts of the Western United States. The incident is now resolved, but we are closely monitoring the situation and will provide further details if any related problems emerge.

**Incident Summary
**
Between February 23 and February 24 some users in the US West, Asia and Australia regions experienced service disruption issues for approximately 2 hours. This service disruption appears to have affected user access, app availability and automations (bots).

Incident Timeline

  • Start of service disruption:

    • Monday, February 23, 2026 at 10:34 PM PST (Tuesday, February 24, 2026, 6:34 AM UTC)
  • Incident resolution

    • Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 12:30 AM PST (Tuesday, February 24, 2026, 08:30 AM UTC)

The total duration of service disruption across these regions was 1 hour and 54 minutes.

Root Cause and Resolution

The root cause was identified as a temporary system capacity issue. Specifically, the server capacity was insufficient to handle the incoming traffic load from the affected regions. Our engineering team has since addressed this by scaling resources to accommodate the increased load.

Again, we sincerely apologize for the disruption that this incident has caused our users in the affected regions, and will continue monitoring our server capacity to safeguard against similar issues emerging.

Sincerely,
The AppSheet Team

Which AppSheet servers are in this system? I want to know if the problem is only in Global servers. Are servers in the EU or APAC having problems too?
If there are no problems in the APAC server, we do not need to check the apps in that area.

Thank you for the detailed incident report and your transparency in communicating what happened.

That said, the approximately 2-hour outage had a significant impact on our business operations, and I want to share some honest feedback.

Personally, I am fully satisfied with AppSheet’s current feature set — I am not asking for new features or updates. What I truly need is a reliable environment where users can work with confidence. Reliability is what matters most to me, and I sincerely hope the team will prioritize platform stability above all else going forward.

Thank you again for your prompt response and continued monitoring.

Hi Takuya,
The service disruption occurred with the US-West server, which also serves the western US and Asia-Pacific audience. This is not the specific APAC server, so no action is needed by you.
Thanks..

Thanks @cschalk_ws

I understand that the problematic servers were in the US-West.
These servers are part of the Global Region.
This means that apps in the APAC and EU region were not affected.

Is my understanding correct?

eu.appsheet.com and asia-southeast.appsheet.com were not impacted by this service disruption.

Yes that is correct, but to be precise, apps that were transitioned to non global APAC or EU regions were not affected.

Thanks @cschalk_ws @DmitryRiegle

That is very clear.:+1:

Please add the “AppSheet Region” when you report an RCA.
This information is very important. It helps us understand the problem at the work site.

Regards.
