Unable to use curly brackets in calculated fields

Hi all,

I am experiencing a problem with the use of curly brackets {} in Looker Studio calculated fields.

As soon as I type an open curly bracket { in the formula editor, I immediately get the error “Braced constructors are not supported”. I would need to use braces to call a parameter within a calculated field (of a report derived from a “blend data”) and this error occurs regardless of the name of the control or parameter I am trying to reference.

I have already tried:

Clearing the browser cache (Google Chrome).
Using incognito browsing mode
Updating Chrome to the latest version

The problem persists. I cannot in any way use curly brackets in calculated fields, which prevents me from referencing controls and parameters.

Has anyone encountered the same problem or have suggestions on how to solve it?

Thanks for the help!

Angelo

You shouldn’t need curly brackets to reference a parameter! Just start typing its name, or select it from the list of fields on the left.
