I am able to type a new Field ID for my custom field but the “Update” button remains greyed out so I am not able to save the new Field ID.

I am having the same issue. Even if i modify the name or the field so i am able to save the calculated field, it doesn’t save.
I found the solution: delete the calculated field, create it again, and assign the desired field ID. This field is not editable once created—there’s a UI bug that makes it appear editable.
