This needs to be actioned, as there is no way to delete chats or media uploaded as part of chats.
+1 for ability to enable deleting and/or archiving feature for Gemini chats for users using google workspace.
One update on this. Today I’ve talked with Google support and they told me …
"The option to delete the single chat deletion is not yet rolled out you can fill the below form to enable the deletion option

There is a form that can be filled for accessing to this feature. Google has not rolled out this feature yet into production, but they plan to do it on this quarter.
This looks promising. I have filled it out. Like everyone here I am astonished that that nobody has fixed this issue so far. It’s hard to treat Gemini as a serious tool when you can’t manage your chat history.
I agree 100% this is a no-brainer. I feel like a second class citizen right now. As much I like Gemini, not having the same essential features as free users feels like a kick in the pants. Same goes for not having a ‘Saved info page’ or similar persistent chat instructions memory.

I recently joined Google Workspace and am surprised that a basic organization and deletion feature isn’t available for premium users. As a solopreneur, keeping a clean workspace is my top priority.
First, manual chat deletion isn’t working in Gemini despite being turned on in my Admin settings, which is creating a huge mess. Second, we really need a way to organize chats into folders. Because of these limitations, I’m currently stuck toggling between my personal Gmail and my Workspace account just to manage my workflow. Please fix the deletion bug and consider adding folders as soon as possible! Thank you.

Google Workspace accounts currently can’t delete individual Gemini chats, even when your admin has enabled activity/conversation deletion in the Admin console. This is a deliberate restriction Google has placed on Workspace (enterprise) accounts — personal @albarqsalh70 accounts get the delete option, Workspace accounts don’t, regardless of admin settings. Even when an organization enables Gemini activity deletion at the admin level, Workspace users are currently restricted from deleting single chats from the Gemini sidebar — that capability is exclusive to personal accounts for now. You’re not missing a setting. Google currently does not allow individual chat deletion for any Workspace enterprise account — it’s a platform-wide restriction affecting all organizations, not just yours. (TDX) There’s an active thread on the Google Developer forums with dozens of admins reporting the exact same thing — pin and rename are available, delete simply isn’t there.
What you can do:
Submit feedback directly — in gemini.google.com, click Help (bottom left) → Help & feedback → Send feedback. Attach a screenshot of the chat menu showing the missing Delete option. This is the main channel Google uses to prioritize fixes.
Bulk deletion still works — you can wipe your entire Gemini activity history via myactivity.google.com, even if you can’t delete single chats.
Check retention/auto-delete policies — your admin can set Gemini Apps activity to auto-delete after a set period (3/18/36 months) via Admin console, which at least caps how long chats stick around even without manual per-chat deletion.
There’s no ETA from Google on fixing this — it’s been an open complaint for months. Voting/commenting on the existing forum thread (rather than opening a new one) helps signal demand.
