Unable to Login to Edge UI

Hi All,

I am using Apigee Edge on premises (private cloud) version 4.5.00. I have gone through the installation overview at https://docs.apigee.com/private-cloud/v4.50.00/installation-overview.

I was able to validate the install as per https://docs.apigee.com/private-cloud/v4.50.00/test-install, and I was able to create an organization as per https://docs.apigee.com/private-cloud/v4.50.00/onboard-organization.

I can run api calls and see that I have users in the organization, and that I have a regular user and a orgadmin, as well as a sysadmin.

I installed the edge ui on the Management server, which is also running apigee-openldap.

I was able to make a mock api proxy via an api call and I can even pull that up in a browser.

I can telnet to the port for the edge ui, and I can confirm that all of the nodes can access the ports for the services running on the management server (edge ui, management server and the apigee-openldap).

YET, when I try to access the Edge UI in a browser, I don’t even get a login page, just this response:

do you have load balancer in front? are your UI http’s? if you press F12 are you able to see some redirects going, any error in UI log? more context pls

I do have a load balancer in front of the UI. I do see redirects but I do not see anything in the error log except that a value was expected for the password, but none was received. I realized when I installed the ssoadmin module that I saw ssoadmin was unable to authenticate. That’s confusing because the sso module and the management server are on the same node and I am using Apigee openldap as the identity manager. I have a call scheduled with Apigee.
