I currently have a VM with a CPU. I want to add a GPU to the VM but I am getting the following error:
failed. Error: [e2-standard-2, nvidia-tesla-t4] features are not compatible for creating instance.
I am adding 1 GPU of Nvidia T4 and I am sure the zone is right because I created a new instance with the same GPU and it worked fine. Please note that I have already tried the solution here but it did not work. I would really appreciate any solutions to this issue.
Please let me know if any more explanation is needed.
Upon checking the compatibility of GPU NVIDIA T4, the machine type that can be supported is N1 machine types except N1-Shared core. You can check the reference from this Google documentation.
Thank you for your response. I am selecting n1-standard-2 already and getting the error that I mentioned above in my question. Any other suggestions would be highly appreciated.
I believe you requested for you T4 quota to be increased and have it added to your resources capacities, is that correct? if you did, I would recommend contacting our Support team for them to further check inside your project if there are other possible causes of the issue you were encountering. In any case, you haven’t requested your GPU. I would suggest contacting our Sales team to assist you to request for T4 GPU resources to be added to your project.
