Looker Studio heatmap table not displaying selected theme color
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing an issue in Looker Studio when using the “Extract theme from image” feature.
The generated theme works correctly across several charts and components. However, tables using the Heatmap display type do not visually show the selected theme color.
In the table’s setup/style pane, the correct theme color is selected for the heatmap metric, but the cells either appear uncolored or continue using a different/default color.
What I’ve observed:
- The theme colors work correctly on other chart types.
- The issue appears to affect tables with metrics displayed as heatmaps.
- The correct theme color is shown as selected in the style settings after extract theme from image - but visually its still the old color.
- Changing the metric from Heatmap to Number and back does not consistently resolve it.
- Enabling modern charts does not resolve the issue.
- The issue is not caused by conditional formatting.
Has anyone else experienced this?
