The mystery of the phantom persistent SSD store

I’m running into a quote limit in my GKE instance.

I thought that seemed a bit off so I went to see what was throwing up the error and saw this:

According to Compute Engine, I’m using 458GB of storage. The only problem is … I can’t find it anywhere!

Persistent storage on this instance is a single humble 8GB volume.

Checked everywhere else conceivable under my Google Cloud account … no other projects … nothing under storage.

Is there any way to drill down into this alert a little to try find where the mystery SSD lives?

Hi @danielrosehill ,

have you tried to look at disks from Asset Inventory?

  • compute.googleapis.com/Disk

    Returns zonal and regional disks in the search and analysis APIs, and only zonal disks in the list, export, query, and monitor APIs.
