Table Text Alignment Settings Reset When Modifying Individual Cells

Issue Description: After the recent Looker Studio update, there’s a critical bug affecting table formatting. When setting text alignment for an individual cell, it automatically resets the previously configured alignment settings for other columns in the same table.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a table with multiple columns
  2. Configure text alignment for different columns (e.g., center, left, right)
  3. Modify text alignment for a single cell in any column
  4. Observe that previously set column alignments are reset/overridden

Expected Behavior: Individual cell formatting should not affect column-level alignment settings that were previously configured.

Actual Behavior: Setting alignment for one cell resets the alignment configuration for other columns, requiring users to reconfigure all table formatting.

Same issue here! As a temporary workaround, I’ve been copying from pre-existing tables that were correctly formatted before the update - those seem to retain their alignment settings. Not ideal, but it avoids having to reset everything from scratch each time. Hopefully this bug is sorted out ASAP

Currently all charts are broken in Looker, meaning Style changes are not saved. As per @lauratilton 's comment, two bugs related to Tables and Combo Charts have been raised:
