Hello everyone,
I am looking for some help cleaning up my Google Cloud resources. I have a few projects that are not associated with an Organization, and I am running into issues deleting two of them.
I have successfully deleted several other projects linked to folders, but these two specific projects consistently return a “Permission Denied” error in the console.
Here is what I have checked so far:
- I verified my IAM permissions to ensure I have the necessary roles.
- I am logged in with the account that owns the projects.
- I attempted to use the request access flow, which emails the owner—only to confirm that the owner is indeed my account, yet I am still being denied access.
Since I have successfully deleted other projects in the same environment, I am confused why these two are throwing errors. Has anyone encountered this “strangler” project issue before, or is there a specific step I might be missing to force the deletion of these orphaned projects?
Any advice or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
P.S Sorry if I posted in the wrong place I’m not going to act like I’m a expert. I’m a hands on learner and it takes me a while.
