Start with About and Starting View

In UX → Options, i have both of the following options enabled

  1. Starting View - mentioned the view
  2. Start with About

But none of these work for me except the initial time i start the App after clearing all data and logging again. Is it a bug or any issue with my app only.

That’s actually how they’re intended to work: they only display the very first time the user opens the app. There is no way to force the display of a particular view when the user opens the app after that very first time.

Thanks for clarifying that @Steve . I was thinking of using the about view as a NOTICE BOARD with common messages for all users so that i can ensure all users will see those messages when they open the app every time. But if this is the case, then i am unfortunate with my attempt. I think it would be great it was the other way, like every time the app is opened. Because already the app creator has the option to enable or disable it, so better let it happen every time the user opens the app. Otherwise that option is not that much of a use according to me once the app is in use. Its just my opinion. Please comment your views on it.

I agree with you: I can imagine a number of different possible uses for an open-on-start view.

so what do you do with the notice board anyway ? i’m just want to do the same thing but i don’t want to have another view for this - or this is the must way to have another view and set it to start ?
